Flowers Friday: Brandon’s working hard – the others? Not so much

Last week The Killers released their annual Christmas single to benefit the Red Campaign.

Although from the looks of this video, I’m thinking Brandon did all the work because really – Mark, Dave and Ronnie couldn’t be bothered to take ONE DAY from their break to stand on a roof in Las Vegas and stare thoughtfully into the distance for charity? REALLY??

In an interview this week from his tour stop in Toronto, Brandon said originally Bono asked him to be in a Gap ad for Red but he offered to do a song instead. Not that I’m complaining because Killers Christmas songs are awesome – but – damn I would love to see him in a Gap ad! I mean look at this man!

  2. You know, maybe all along Brandon wanted to do this kind of song and video, something sensitive, redeeming and heartfelt, and the other 3 nixed it in favor of what they wound up doing for their xmas singles. That was WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!! The song, the video, the sentiment – I was so afraid at the end that another man would come to the door behind the wife, but no!!! She hugged him!!! And what can I say about Brandon – VERY HANDSOME, great outfit – you sure can pick ’em!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I think the sunset shots are really stunning-really highlights how beautiful Vegas is. And there’s that one point when the down on his luck man is performing and that little kid is staring at him, I assumed the kid was wondering “Aren’t there more guys in this band besides the pretty one?” Ronnie could have played the man-he’s a performer and looks like he has range!!

And as for the ad campaign, I would totally love to fall into THAT “gap”-just saying 😉
