Get out your party hats – it’s Sarah’s birthday!!

Today I give thanks to this poster and this man:

Whaddya do Jack??

Why? Well because this poster is why I met Sarah. Sarah who celebrates a birthday today. Sarah who has made my life infinitely brighter and more hilarious than before the moment I met her as she stood in my dorm room petting this poster (yes, petting – as if it had any sort of tactile properties!)

Since then we’ve had over a decade (well over a decade, as a birthday gift I’m not mentioning how old we are!) of various shenanigans, high jinks, rabble rousing, monkey business, escapades and antics. She is charming, smart, witty, loyal, caring and funny as hell. We have the best time together and have settled into the kind of friendship where you finish each others sentences and anticipate exactly how the person will respond to something. When we get together it is guaranteed we will 1) Be laughing our asses off pretty much instantly 2) Will piss off people around us with our hysteria 3) Not care if we piss people off and probably get even sillier (once getting off a bus ride a guy grumped as we passed him “There goes the party” Yeah – that’s right Mister – THERE IT GOES!)

And it all started with a pretty boy on a speeding bus and our love of his arms (seriously, we can spend a good hour discussing his ARMS in this scene!) So thank you Keanu Reeves and your Arms of Hotness and Sexy Strappy Thing on your Neck – for bringing me one of my greatest friends!

Happy Birthday Peaches!! Love you!!!

  3. Happy Birthday Sarah! You’re awesome, and I miss you! 🙂

  4. I remember when I first met Sarah and I saw how you two played off each other-it was like seeing the same person! She’s funny, loyal, a total sarcastic, and btw is the future Mrs. Mark Stoermer. Again, totally came up with all these things from the moment we first met-She’s a rock star!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you’re birthday is as epic as the reception at you and Mark’s wedding-where you’ll be the life of the party and he’ll be in the corner 😉
