Flowers Friday: A Lesson in Plaid edition

Brandon Flowers has long had a taste for plaid:

And lately he’s seriously rockin’ the plaid as part of his dusty, western themed Flamingo PR:

But this? No, noooooo. Yellow plaid SUIT??

Even he’s like Ah well, I knew one day there would be something even I wouldn’t be able to pull off. At least I’m still pretty!

  1. Could you imagine this photo shoot? The stylist thinks she’s being all clever, knowing he likes plaid and feels yellow might brighten up the shots. He looks at it and goes “Um, my body is throwing up inside looking at this because this is the color of throw up. Thank goodness my cutiepie face will make up for this tragedy.”

Just start doing shoots wearing kilts and we’ll forget this EVER happened!

  2. It’s a little Pee Wee Herman, I’m not going to lie. And those pants . . . are they Capris?

I’m liking the clasped hands, dangling feet, and “Did I do that?” facial expression, however. It kind of gives you an idea of what he might have looked like at age 10, after pulling the girl in front of him’s ponytail at school, and pretending the guy next to him did it.

  3. You know what, I figured it out: I could get past the colour, I can even ignore the Hot Fuss gone wrong bow tie. The problem is plaid should NEVER be used on the lower half of the body. EVER! It’s too matchy matchy, plus it creates too much of a comedy effect. Bad Brandon, making us not like something you’re wearing >:|

I do like him atop that piano tho… ;-p

  4. UGH!! That stupid yellow suit! What in the world was he thinking?? He is still pretty cute 😉 despite the fact that that suit is ridiculously hideous. haha
