Cute Boy Alert!: Kyan Douglas I’ve missed you!

So Queer Eye for the Straight Guy has come up twice in the past two days: yesterday my mom and I somehow got onto discussing it in relation to The Killers (VictiMom: If they’d had The Killers on that show, they would have gotten to Brandon and said ‘you’re disqualified’!)

And today I was working on an academic book about pop culture, and the show was name checked a few times. This got me to thinking – where is my fave Queer Eye Guy Kyan Douglas?

He’s just gorgeous and was always such a sweetheart. He seemed to connect with the Straight Guys in a really genuine way that was very sweet. God I loved that show, I wanted a posse of cute, funny gay guys to come make my life hipper and more fashionable and better tasting.

So hooray for the internet because I looked him up and he’s on Twitter!!!

So of course I’m following him now. Oooh and he’s hosting a show that is basically what I wanted: tips for women!: 10 Years Younger on TLC.

Oh dammit, the season is over. As I get older two things keep happening: people think I look 5 years younger than my actual age (cool!), and I keep getting girlier buying dresses and purses and heels all the time (expensive!) I need guidance!

  1. I have every Queer Eye episode recorded because I was obsessed with it!! I was more of a Thom kind of girl, but how can you not love Kyan?

And I had a Queer Eye birthday cake for my 17th birthday-check your email for that pic to turn up 🙂

  2. 10 Years Younger? Was that the one where they made the “contestant” go into a glass box in the middle of the street, while they asked “strangers” how old he or she was? And at the beginning, pre-makeover, the “strangers” were always TOTALLY mean, and said the person in the box looked positively elderly, even if he or she was only, like, 25? That show always scared me a little bit . . .

I’m in total agreement with you on Kyan though. I’d let him in my house any day of the week (and twice on Saturday) 🙂 . . . as long as he promised never to put me in a glass box . . .

    • Ugh – a glass box? I have no idea, that sounds sucky.

I just want him to ruffle my hair and tell me what “product” I need to be using ;-0
