Who: Jason Bateman, child star done good, Michael Bluth

Why: Great comic timing, he’s always been a cutie and now is a handsome devil, he seems like a great daddy and was the brilliant deadpan center of the funniest show ever: Arrested Development – DUH!

When: Valerie/Valerie’s Family/The Hogans mid-80’s, AD and post-AD (i.e. now)

Level of Obsession: He was the reason we started watching Arrested Development, god bless him

“Ahhhh!” Moment(s): The Hogans episode where he babysit Mrs. Poole’s little niece and played tea party. The Cornballer. Inappropriately singing “Afternoon Delight” with Maeby. Pepper Brooks in Dodgeball a True Underdog Story

My mom and I have followed Jason’s career for years. Although I was the right age, I wasn’t into him when he was on Little House on the Prarie or Silver Spoons. We did love our David Hogan though and were delighted to see he was in a new series. Arrested Development brought out all the fabulous talents we knew he’d had along, thank god Mitch Hurwitz made a showcase for them. His off-screen stuff – interviews, press junkets, etc. make him seem just as funny, clever and witty as his characters. He’s building an impressive film resume, he appears to have a happy home life with his wife and adorable daughter Francesca, and he’s aging quite nicely. Plus, it can never be said enough: he’s Michael Bluth. That counts for a ALOT.
