I was very happy to see Michael Emerson win a deserved Emmy for Lost Sunday night. I recognized his wife but couldn’t place her. My friend said “she’s on True Blood but I can’t figure out who she plays,” and then I realized it was Arlene the Merlotte’s waitress: Carrie Preston.
Here’s how I imagine the dinner conversation in that house:
Him: What did you do today honey?
Her: I was in a saucer-eyed orgy around a statue of meat. What about you sweetie?
Him: Me? Oh I turned a huge underground frozen wheel and popped out in Tunisia. Pass the salt.
(Yes, I realize these scenes on these respective shows took place no where in the same time as one another, but for the sake of amusing myself, I am pretending they did.)
