she liked Imaginary Men best of all

Good magazine day

I love magazines. I love when they come in the mail all shiny and fresh. I love when they are lined up on the newsstand all ready to be flipped through. I love that there is something different every week or month or bi-monthly.

Of course my magazines of choice are of the entertainment variety. I have had an Entertainment Weekly subscription forever. I am pickier about my Us and People because Us won’t shut up about Jon and Kate and The Hills, and People because as I read once on a board, “People Magazine is where the truth goes to die” which is so totally true when it comes to celebrities. I also can go for a Vanity Fair or Real Simple and enjoy news magazines, although I so dislike the new Newsweek design I can’t even peruse it without ranting about hateful looking it is.

Today I was excited because the new Rolling Stone  is out and although I usually don’t give a shit about RS, I knew it contained two topics I am currently consumed by: Brandon Flowers and TV. Lo and behold – there was more than I expected! Coverage of Pearl Jam’s new tour for one. A blurb on David Duchovny in which he referenced a motto that is also part of a title to an old X-Files episode for another. And not only a profile on Neil Patrick Harris and how fucking awesome he is – but an accompanying photo in which he is spitting water at the camera while clothed, wet, and bare chested in a bathtub!

So as I was recovering from that excitement I do my daily check of to find that the friggin’ Fall TV Preview is finally out and the cover boy? Pacey!!! I gave up on Fringe last season but that finale was insane and no one on primetime wears a pea coat better than Josh Jackson so I will clearly be balancing it with all the other Thursday night TV goodness this season.

I know of one other male in a popular movie who also wore a pea coat and was hotter than hell 😉
